Founding member and President
Late Dr. David J. Lincoln was a psychologist and naturopath, an International Master Trainer of NLP, and President of ANLP India. He was a founding member of the association, head of its accreditation work, and a major contributor to NLP education in India. He specialised in the mind-body connection.
He began operating under the ANLP India banner in 2007. For many years he worked from Goa, and he served as visiting faculty. His professional work was also associated with London, Kaunas and Marbella. His work helped give NLP training in India a professional association identity.
He was born and educated in London, and took his first degree in psychology in 1969. He taught physical education at a secondary school in South London, then became deputy head of a boarding school in Surrey, continuing his studies and qualifying as a clinical psychologist. He trained in NLP in the United Kingdom and in California. His doctoral thesis was on the body-mind connection; that study led him to naturopathy, which he studied in Kansas, where he was awarded an ND.
He was also a martial artist, holding a fourth dan in judo, a first dan in aikido, and a pupil grade in karate. He wrote widely on NLP, hypnosis and complementary therapies, including David’s NLP Manual, David’s Advanced NLP Manual, An Introduction to NLP, A Glossary of NLP, David’s Big Book of Hypnosis Scripts, and What They’re Doing to Me, a glossary of more than four hundred therapies.
Dr. Lincoln passed away in May 2021.
A clip of him at a Master Practitioner training in Delhi, 2013, is kept in the Gallery, in loving memory.
