ANLP India and the professional practice of NLP in India
NLP has been taught in India for decades, through institutes, independent trainers and professional associations. This page is about ANLP India’s place in that landscape — not a second copy of About ANLP India, and not the dated timeline on History.
NLP in India, and one association among others
Neuro-Linguistic Programming is taught in many countries. In India it has been taught through institutes, independent trainers and professional associations. ANLP India is one such Indian association. Similar names elsewhere do not make those bodies the same organisation. From a chapter to an Indian professional community
ANLP India began as an India chapter of ANLP UK. Dr. David J. Lincoln began operating under the ANLP India banner in 2007. In 2008, Sushil Mehrotra joined as co-founder and organised regular programmes across the country. During the same reorganisation, ANLP India became an independent professional community in India, separate from ANLP UK.
That independence is part of how NLP professional education in India sat inside an Indian association identity, rather than only as isolated workshops or as a chapter of a body elsewhere. The year-by-year record remains on the history page.
Trainer and practitioner development
The association was associated with practitioner development, master practitioner training, trainer development and related applications of NLP — including coaching, communication and behavioural work. In 2010, trainer training in Goa marked a further step: trainers who could teach NLP in India. Ralph Watson co-delivered the first ANLP India Trainer Certification; Umesh Soman became a trainer-member. The four trainer-members who form the core committee are introduced under Founding Members.
By 2015 the association had crossed 7,500 graduates, including Practitioners, Master Practitioners and Trainers. The published graduate register is a later public slice of that community, not a claim that every graduate is listed there.
A national geography, not a single classroom
Programmes associated with ANLP India are known to have taken place in Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Bangalore. The gallery holds photographs and a clip from that work, including Trainer Training in Goa and Master Practitioner gatherings in Delhi. Continuity, on this site, means that practitioners and trainers continue to work as members of a living professional community.
