About ANLP India, the NLP association
ANLP India is an Indian professional association dedicated to the development, education and responsible practice of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
What is ANLP India?
The Association of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, India — ANLP India — is a professional community of NLP practitioners, trainers and educators. It exists to hold a shared identity around standards, professional development and the practice of NLP in India.
It is not a training marketplace. Courses, schedules and fees are published by www.NLP4India.in, the NLP education and training platform.
Why was it established?
ANLP India took shape so that NLP education in India could sit inside a recognisable professional association, rather than only as isolated workshops. It began as an India chapter of ANLP UK. Dr. David J. Lincoln began operating under the ANLP India banner in 2007. In 2008, Sushil Mehrotra joined as co-founder, organising and managing regular programmes across the country. During the same reorganisation, ANLP India became an independent professional community in India, separate from ANLP UK.
Its role in NLP education and professional development
ANLP India was associated with practitioner development, master practitioner training, trainer development and related applications of NLP — including coaching, communication and behavioural work. Those pathways became part of the professional journeys of practitioners in cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
Founding members
The core committee is formed of four trainer-members: Dr. David J. Lincoln, Sushil Mehrotra, Ralph Watson and Umesh Soman. In 2008, Sushil Mehrotra joined as co-founder. Umesh Soman became a member in 2009 as a promoter of the association’s programmes, and a trainer-member in 2010.
Accreditation and certification history
ANLP India was associated with certification at Practitioner, Master Practitioner, Trainer and Master Trainer levels. Members continue to hold those credentials. ANLP India does not invite applications for new certificates through this website.

How the association evolved
ANLP India began as an India chapter of ANLP UK. In 2008, during the same reorganisation in which Sushil Mehrotra joined as co-founder, it became an independent professional community in India, separate from ANLP UK. Trainer training in Goa in 2010 marked a further step: not only practitioners, but trainers who could teach NLP in India. By 2015 the association had crossed 7,500 graduates. Over the following years the community of practitioners and trainers widened.
Where ANLP India stands today
ANLP India remains a living professional community. Practitioners and trainers continue to work as members.
